Forbes: Austin best economic recovery in U.S. - Austin Business Journal:

Tied for number one with Washington, DC.

Funny that DC is at number one... would that have anything to do with the expansion of government and the ever-increasing number of lobbyists?

My resolution of a few months is to not make any more political comments, so, no comment.

What a tease!!!

Now you've got me curious. In case you think I'm an anti-government right-winger, that's far from being the case and is not what motivated my DC comments at all. However, there are a lot of jobs in government and in lobbying (if the two are even distinct any more...)

If you're not willing to post political comments, send me a direct message and say anything you want. I'm not thin-skinned.

Well, I'd say that also has something to do with why Austin's economy is holding up given we are the state capital of a state that is still doing _relatively_ well, so government jobs are still available as are jobs at UT which is another big government employer in town.
