Does anyone know of a good Indian market in Austin, preferably South or Central Austin area. I need some good curry powder, etc.

Try Shree Jee on Ben White. I've driven by it almost every day for years. I looked it up on Yelp and it gets great reviews. Let us know what you think.

Here is a list of Indian stores:

North
Taj Grocers
9515 N Lamar Blvd # 152, Austin, TX‎ - (512) 836-6292
* This is located next to an Indian restaurant, Swad. Good selection.

MGM Indian Foods
7427 Burnet Rd, Austin, TX‎ - (512) 459-5353‎
* Small Indian store with good selection

South
Shree jee grocers
321 W Ben White Blvd # 204
Austin, TX 78704-7087
(512) 441-5573
* This is owned by the same people who own Taj Grocers. Directions: Take the 1st Street exit from 71/Ben White while travelling east. On access road, go past 1st street and you will find the store located in a strip mall on the right. If you hit S Congress, you have gone too far. Assuming you went too far (as I have done often in the past), take a right on S Congress, take the first right, go past the transit center and you can hit the same strip mall from the back side.

Round Rock
Ambica Foods
3203 S IH 35 , Suite 580, Round Rock, TX‎ - (512) 828-3000
*Medium sized store, excellent selection

There are several other Indian grocery stores but these three offer excellent choices. For more choices, visit indian grocery austin - Google Maps

CAUTION: With any Indian store, please pay attention to the expiry dates on the items being sold. They have a tendency to keep items long past their expiration and then play ignorant.

Good Luck. Please free to ask any more questions.

There are two at the intersection of Brodie & William Cannon. Man Pasand tucked back in the strip on the southwest side and Gandhi Bazar on the southeast.
