we've done the bouncy houses, chucky cheese, and children's museum. we're looking to do something different this time. any ideas? thanks in advance!

Consider Art Attack - where you decorate your own pottery. Fun for all ages and each party goer ends up with their own creation (cup, bowl, plate, etc.). Final delivery is a few days later after the pottery is fired.

Not sure if its a boy/girl. You might also consider the "come to your house" science guy ... he'll do some tricks and then make goo for the kids to play with. I believe the Lego shop (it is not an official Lego shop) has birthdays and new place that is on the way to my office "races2u" is an indoor remote control car racing place. They claim that they "tune" the setup to your guests age so that it is enjoyable. Depending on when you do it, you could also do zilker park and the train.
