Hot, sweaty, and a bit smelly in my case. I had to turn the air conditioner up a notch to make me less sweaty...

According to these posts, it seems like very few of you love living in Austin these days? Am I over reading or is Austin really just ok at best?

Austin has some positives and some negatives. It all depends on what you want. It could be hell or it could be very nice, or somewhere in between. For me it is somewhere in between depending on the time of year . That would mean approaching hell in the summer, and the complete opposite in Feb/March or October/November. So my recommendation is to look at the big picture, and don't get too worried about the little details if you know what I mean.

If you come from a small town and are in your 20's, it's probably pretty cool. Otherwise, really just okay at best.
