Why would anyone have any need or desire to go to that part of downtown?

All downtowns have sketchy areas.

I agree, I actually love Peachtree Center (I work there). It is always clean, is very convenient and the people who work around here are very friendly most of the time. Also he did not take a pic of Peachtree St at Peachtree Center, only Peachtree Center Ave, which is where everyone parks. But the gerbil shoot was pretty funny anyway!

Downtown Atlanta is not the Champs-Elysees but it's obvious that Kunstler went out of his way to photograph things like parking lot entrances and service bays. Anybody can find ugly stuff like that in any city on earth.

To present that as representative of Atlanta is absurd, at best.
