I am new to this state and i am not aware of this program, process of enrolling, schools which have this program and when they are enrolling.

Please let me know these details.

Thanks

Some of the private schools like Primrose, etc have started accepting applications for the lottery pick (sometime in March, I guess). For some, it is the old fashioned first come first serve.Call individual schools to find out the exact date. Bear in mind that the seats are limited.

Some elementary schools also offer the state funded Pre-K program. If you local elementary school offers this, and if it is well reputed, you can apply there. Contact the school for info.

Separately, you can contact individual daycare centers such as Primrose, Legacy Academy, ... for how to enroll. You have to apply at each location separately.

This link should have all the info you need to find a Pre-K program and enroll your child:http://decal.ga.gov/Prek/PreKHome.aspx.

As others have mentioned, the number of slots available at any individual school is limited. Schools set their own registration dates; the provider locator at the link above will tell you how many slots are currently available at each provider. One thing to note is that there's a lot of shuffling around as parents try to get their kids into the "best" providers, so even if a location shows no open slots, if you're interested in that location you should still contact them and get on their waiting list -- our daughter was on the wait list at two providers and actually enrolled at a third up until the Friday before the program started, when a spot at one of the wait-list schools opened up (it was much more conveniently located for us, next door to my son's middle school). When we moved her to that school, it meant another slot opened up at the location she was originally enrolled in.
