Can anyone tell me how good this program is? My daughter is a junior and wants to go to school for Business mostly Accounting. She will have a HOPE Scholarship (unless she seriously messes up) and looks like UGA or the College of Management Undergrad at GA Tech is going to be a little too tough for her to get accepted to. We will try though. Forget Emory.

I would hate for her to waste a scholarship. I know she can always go somewhere here in GA and transfer but she won't hear of that. Sometimes I wish you just give kids a crystal ball so they could see into the future for just one sec.

Need help, please.

Big 4 recruit here. You're also within proximity to Metro ATL's business scene.

I don't have information about that program specifically, but here is an interesting recent article about GSU in general: Georgia State continues its rise *| ajc.com

I like the article but this is a big LOL

"Neighbors started calling me asking if I could help get their kids in," Morris said.

If you have a 3.0+, 1100+ SAT, you are in. That might change in a couple of years, but as it stands, the kids here are above average, nothing more. You've got to be a real dummy to need help getting in here.

Do you know anything about this school academically? I know she can get in. She has a 3.3 and 1400 but it seems there's nothing else for kids in this range. Not good enough for Tech. I was told No for GA from her counselor but that's not the school for her anyway. Too large and just not a good fit. I think she can do better than Southern or Kennesaw so that leaves State if she wants to use her HOPE which would be ridiculous to pass up.

If Tech is her goal, GA Southern has a reciprocal agreement with Tech that students who do well for two years at Southern can transfer in.

I have one at Southern (chosen because they offered a lot of IEP support), and my oldest is enrolled in a Masters program at GSU. His professors also teach at Emory. His advisor told him he would be getting an Emory quality program at 1/10 the cost. We'll see, but so far he is impressed.
