Here is an very interesting article concerning Garden Hills Elementary, located in th Garden Hills neighborhood in Buckhead (Atlanta).

Parents, principal promote Garden Hills

I think that it's great that the neighborhood is rallying behind the school. It's a neighborhood treasure...and people are finally realizing it (again).

My wife taught at Garden Hills from 1988 until 1992 -- first teaching job after college. She loved it at the time -- it was very much what it sounds like it's coming back to: a very diverse school but successful because of solid parental involvement from the neighborhood. I know that it went through a rough patch in recent years, but it's good to hear that it seems to be on its way back.

It is good to see...having the solid parental involvement and the diversity...and now the International Baccalaurate Primary Years Programme!

A great trio.
