I think the dominant vs. submissive roles can be interchangeable regardless of who is the daddy and who is the cub...

Okayyyyyyyyy now... I do think the topic is beginning to stray when the word "submissive" starts to pop up, so um, let's get back on the main topic.

I didn't want to sound dumb and ask him, but what is fetishy mixing?
"Fetishy mixing" can be described being interested in another race or ethnicity as a fetish. This is not about hanging out/dating due to an open-mind, preference, or comfort. For example, it is about being interested Asians because you want a "shy geisha", or being interested in blacks because you want a "big, black thug," or being interested in whites because one sees it as a "social upgrade," etc.

These are some examples...I think you can get the point (without having to get more graphic!).

Default no repeats please...

I don't live in either of the places that are being discussed here. I googled on towns around Hotlanta to see what it is like there, as I have been kind of long distance dating someone out there and had never thought of that are to live before. What I am gathering from this is that gay life is accepted in this area, in a state which doesn't really accept it. Like an Island?? I did that once in Bloomington IN. It was great being in B-town but as soon as you got on the highway to get to Indianapolis you had to drive through two cities that house the kkk. It is well known that AfAm and gays would be unjustly pulled over, brought into city jail and beaten. Does this type of thing occur at all in GA once you get beyond metro region and into the country?

Where I live know being gay is accepted if you are already an established couple . If you are single though there are many strange perceptions and attitudes and a feeling of straight people being friendly so that they can somehow change you. I don't know how else to describe it. They allow a gay friendly bar/restaurant to open for a while - police there all the time, and then it always gets shut for some crappy reason - even if the place is doing well. Phoenix and Tuscon fair pretty well but the rest of the state is pretty conservative.

Since this is percentage of the population, not absolute numbers, I would think that Provincetown, Key West, Palm Springs, and Wilton Manors (FL) would rank higher than the others.

What about DC??? doesnt it have a huge gay population in the city proper? And population wise it isnt that large of a city, so I would think it would be in the top 3 as well.

Sweetheart, you live in AZ, in the WEST, this is the EAST coast, there are a lot more people here in this region than most people imagine, and Atlanta is the best and only option for many people in this area for gay community life.

DC has other major areas nearby where gays can live, so yes this area like an island.

Beaten in a city jail??? That sounds like a law suit, what if they beat up a rich gay dude? One thing for sure county folks are behind on a lot of things. They say being gay is a sin or whatever, but you see gay people at a church so it weird. They say "its a free country" but actually the freedom is in the city. Atlanta = Hell; Georgia = heaven, that is the thought process in rural areas. I am not gay, don't really understand the lifestyle, but If I was a gay dude Id have to live in a metro city where there are many others like me instead of in Hickville America where I would stand out badly.
