Exactly. If you were born here and are White, you're probably racist according to this board

No, no... Everybody is racist, remember?

Except for those of us who don't have valid opinions because all everything we know about race relations we learned from the media...

People from the north and other areas moving in think we should do everything their way, and could care less about our roots, but when you go to their state and do the same thing, you're an ignorant redneck...What gives?

I for one miss the Georgia that I have known and loved for my entire life. I miss sittin' around talking to complete strangers over a cold Coke and not having my intelligence insulted for being a native Georgian that "doesn't understand progress".

Am I alone in these feelings?
I feel your pain. When I go back to the neighborhoods I lived in Chicago as a kid, I can't find anyone I used to know. In fact it's kind of hard to find someone who speaks English. The Rust Belt from Maine to Minnesota is one big sinking boat, due to changes in the economy and the hard left retro politics of the blue states. That's why so many of us have moved south, and made so many southerners unhappy. We like to eat and have a roof over our heads. We miss the north of our youth as much as you miss the south of your own. I say this as a northerner who now lives in the south, likes the south and does not have a condescending attitude. It doesn't matter where you go in the USA today. Sprawl and a depressing, grinding cookie cutter sameness is the order of the day. Southerners aren't the only ones losing their past and their heritage.

I understand your frustration and appreciate it. Welcome to the South! If more people would just recognize this fact and not refer to us a 'Racist' they would be welcome.

We've been doing things right for a long time and that's why people move here, don't try to change it, although don't forget your past. Just embrace it and incorporate your own.

btw, Vermont has been trying to secede from the Union as well...those racist bastards!
