I think ATL made a mistake by not having moving walkways along the concourses, only between them. There's a lot of walking at ATL.

I hadn't flown out of ATL in years, so when I had to recently, I spent hours there scouting the place out the day before. Glad I did because it took me a while to figure out where I had to go the next day. I didn't find the airport easy to navigate.

I agree. And the concourses aren't wide enough (and certainly aren't wide enough to accommodate moving walkways). But ... it was originally designed and built in the 70s. More modern airports (like DEN) have much wider concourses.

Really? Each building has a letter, A through F, with T used for the main building. Each gate in each building has a number. Put them together and you have your gate. I don't know how it could be any easier.

If you think ATL is hard to navigate, don't ever go to ORD!

Yes, but it is efficient and in a state that does not like to spend extra money for aesthetics it fits. It is rather bland, but the interior is nice. I will say the Int'l terminal is very easy on the eyes and provides users with a large window to watch aircraft movement.

Thanks, but after a few trips, I got it. And a lot of airports use that gate naming system.

I find the interior about as interesting as the exterior. With the amount of money that airport must generate, you'd think they could have made a better effort like Denver did. The International terminal is better, at least they made an effort, but I'm not too thrilled with it either..

I like flying out of Houston's old airport, Hobby. It's small with two connected concourses. You enter and exit at the middle. I avoid Georgie Bush which is like ATL.
