Sorry but that's the dumbest ****ing thing you said in this entire thread. If you get to suppress the speech of others, they can suppress your speech if you ever hold an opinion that is in the minority.

Protecting the speech of people like this is one of the most important functions of the first amendment, and is why the Supreme Court ruled 9-0 for Westboro Baptist.

Have you ever been to Atlanta? I think you should pay the city and state a visit before you pass such harsh judgment based on something you saw on YouTube. Do you think Atlanta would be the "black mecca" and home to hundreds of thousands of wealthy, professional, educated African Americans if it were as racially oppressive as you're saying it is? Do you know that Atlanta was the hometown of MLK and the cradle of the Civil Rights Movement? Are you aware that the National Center for Civil and Human Rights will open in downtown Atlanta this spring?

No, Atlanta isn't perfect. But it sure as heck is a lot better for black people than Killeen, Texas.

Is it really 100s of 1000s in reality or just in perception? 100s of 1000s seems a bit high from what I have seen. Of course there is nothing wrong with being normal class or even poor. It just seems many of these 100s of 1000s you speak of seem more like a myth than being a reality.

Remember, Alabama is our next-door neighbor. And to the west of them is Mississippi...

Yeah, but a native Alabamian, Alabama isn't dumb enough to allow a Confederate flag wind up being an option as their state license plate. The native black Alabamians would pretty much flip the table in that state in a heartbeat if that idea was even considered. Just go read the Birmingham News and Montgomery Advertiser and you will see how true that is Alabama State Legislature. So don't try to act like Alabama is like that because (those type of white) Alabamians know better not to try that in Montgomery...

Being a native Alabamian myself, I find this statement complete and total hogwash. They fought tooth and nail to keep Heart of Dixie somewhere on the license plate when the larger motto was attempted to be changed to Stars Fell On Alabama...and as someone from Montgomery who goes home regularly,I'll let you know that the Sons of the Confederacy have very LARGE (MASSIVE) Rebel Flags on both interstates leading into Montgomery from the east and north? so...what's that about Alabamians knowing better?
