or near atl i'm British, and my wife is american, but she has virtually no educations and no job prospects, so i have the main responsibility of being a provider, i have a degree in business administration, but not much work experience, i am looking for jobs as a financial analyst, event planner, human resources or retail manager, is this unlikely or unrealistic?

like are there a lot of applicants for these jobs in atlanta?

i looked online and none of them say salaries? why is this? and how much can i expect to earn?

we want somewhere with cheap property, and i don't mind commuting about 30 mins ideally, or maybe more i have to

we were thinking about a place called hampton

i don't what our price range is, i guess it's what ever salary you think i will get

but we are 22 and don't intend on having kids straight away but soon

thanks

any advice is welcome and appreciated

With the job market still being very-tough in Atlanta after the recent economic downturn, make absolutely sure that you have a job lined up first before moving to Atlanta.

After you have a job lined up, only then should you consider or inquire where you are going to live so that you can live relatively close to your job in a metro region where the rush hour commutes can be very-challenging and the public transportation is very much lacking in most areas.

GET THE JOB FIRST!!!! And ask about living arrangements SECOND, because Atlanta in the early 2010's is not a place that you want to be without a job.

You'll most likely have to get that answer either from the companies that you apply with and/or from contacts that you may make who are already in those lines of work in the Atlanta area.

Financial analyst jobs (real ones anyway) aren't probably considered entry level jobs.

The rest of the jobs you posted, from an entry level position, won't pay particularly well. I am reading about US undergrads with extensive internship experience struggling to get decent jobs with decent benefits. Are you currently in the UK?

Also, none of the fields you listed will be eligible for any kind of visa. I realize you are married to an American and therefore, probably entitled to a work visa of some kind, but you will have to handle alll that yourself.

Hampton is just a little Southern town, why there? Why GA?

Why discount your wife's prospects out-of-hand? In your situation, you both should look for work. There are restaurant and retail jobs available, and both of you should look for these (wherever you are) to support yourselves while you both seek other jobs and/or education to further yourselves.
