I have to admit that the couple of times we went to Disney World there was a very different vibe from the customers, but then you have to spend as much money in one day at Magic Kingdom as a whole season pass to Six Flags (including White Water and parking). I can handle the few "disgusting" people. My kids love it and I'm okay as long as we pick days that aren't crowded. We went this past Sunday morning and I was shocked at how small the crowds were. Bible belt win! I've been going to Six Flags since the 70's and while Kings Island and Cedar Point might be better parks, it's not terrbile. My only bummer is the drive from the other side of town.

Also, Easter is a fantastic day to go to the park. Very un-crowded and the weather is usually great that time of year!

Six Flags could be better. But I really can't complain too much when it only cost $50 per pass with parking. That is one of the better deals in Atlanta for entertainment. Even though I won't get any new coasters, I will likely renew at that rate again this year.

I have a feeling Six Flags is banking on people now coming to the park for 2 days...one day for the rides and one day for the water park....I'm actually shocked that they are including it in the price of the ticket (I'm sure gate prices will go up at least $10) but several other parks definitely charge an extra fee for the water park.

No, they're just matching the model of Wild Adventures down in Valdosta which has an all-admission ticket for the rides, water park, animal safari AND nightly concerts ...

Wild Adventures

Six Flags over Georgia would fall under the "midsize" park for Six Flags. The addition of the water park will definitely move it toward the top of that particular category.

I do think a water park included with park admission should have happened a long time ago, around the time Carowinds added theirs. Now Carowinds is about to become the largest amusement park in the South and the fourth largest in the Cedar Fair chain.

The park has plenty for Atlantans and tourists to do and will continue to be successful.
