...Comcast has its issues, but they are seemingly nowhere near as profound as the issues that I've personally had with Dish, issues with, as Bob Kovacs described above involved, the service going out not only during heavy storms, but also seemingly light or moderate wind, which became a big issue when I lived in the Midwest in an area where the wind tends to blow strongly quite often.

Needless to say, interruptions to our TV watching were frequent and sometimes aggravating.

One advantage to going with a Comcast or a more local or regional TV service is that you get the local version of the Weather Channel which often carries the local weather and local & regional TRAFFIC conditions, which is VERY important if you have to make use the freeway system or any major multi-lane surface roads during peak hours (roughly between 5:30am and 7pm).

Although, one should make it a habit to check the traffic conditions before venturing out on the freeway system or major roads in the Atlanta area anyways even if you don't have the local version of The Weather Channel.
