Ok, Thanks for the info. I know if we go with GasSouth, we get a discount because of the electric company. So, I guess we will just go with them then. Thanks for the info on cable/internet. I will look Windstream up.

We just want to get a internet/cable bundle, but comcasts website is confusing and the prices seem high. I wish y'all had Bright House up there. They are so easy to work with. I would go with Verizon Fios, but it said online that they arent located in 30189 or 30188. Speaking of that, I'm not even sure what zip code our rental is in. The rental company said 30189, and the electric company said 30188. I'm getting frustrated now about this move.

No Bay News 9 up here. I just moved to 30188. I am using direct tv for tv and Att for internet.

...FLMommy07, if you're moving to the Towne Lake area, your zip code should be 30189.

Either way, you'll love living there as that is a pretty nice part of the metro area and state to live in.

Also, if I am correct, that area should be in the Etowah High School cluster of the Cherokee County School District, which is a pretty good cluster and a pretty good school district for the most part, so if you have any school-aged children you will probably like that area.

Booo..I like my Bay News 9. Weather on the nines! We will look into direct tv too, was that pricey to have set up? What about monthly? Right now, I'm paying about $110 for internet, phone and digital cable with an HD DVR box. Wish we could get a deal like that up there?

Well we thought it was 30189 but when we went online to have our electric turned on, it told us 30188.

We decided on Woodstock because we fell in love with the area when we were up there checking out the area. My husband will commuting to College Park for work, but he leaves at 3:30am, so he definitely won't be stuck in any traffic. We do have two young daughters, our oldest will be in 1st grade this fall. We are in the Etowah cluster, so she will be going to Bascomb. We couldn't be happier!

...FLMommy, If you're going to be living in the Bascomb attendance zone of the Etowah High School cluster, which is west of Interstate 575, I'm pretty sure that area is in the 30189 zip code as all of unincorporated Woodstock that is located west of Interstate 575 is 30189.

Whomever told you that your home in the Towne Lake area is in 30188 zip code is mistaken as everything that is defined as incorporated/unincorporated Woodstock that is EAST of Interstate 575 is 30188.

Though I'm not surprised that someone has confused the Woodstock zip codes as it is not unusual for people to sometimes confuse the West Woodstock zip code of 30189 with the East Woodstock zip code of 30188.

My work used to quite frequently take me in that area and I also used to have relatives who lived in that area, so I've seen the confusing of the two Woodstock zip codes happen on multiple occasions.

But make no mistake (as your electric utility seems to have done), if you're living west of I-575 with a Woodstock address, you're living in the 30189 zip code.

For cable/Internet, we use Windstream for phone and DSL, and Dish Network for TV. You can also look at Comcast and Direct TV. I don't know if Verizon has FIOS in Townes Lake yet.
Hey Bob - How is Dish network? Price? We just ordered a comcast bundle online and we were gonna get a great deal and then I got the confirmation that wasnt even close to the deal. So we called them to find out what happened but because we ordered online, we had to do it through online chat. So we just ended up canceling it all together. Is there any other cable providers in the area? I really wish we could get FIOS, but I looked online and they arent in towne lake. We are so frustrated right now. We wish we could bring Bright House up with us.

No complaints with Dish, other than the service going out at times during heavy storms, which is probably the case with any satellite provider. I don't know exactly what we pay, but it's somewhere around $120/month to have four TVs hooked up and DVR with a pretty good channel package.

Thanks for the info. We actually got a call from comcast tonight to find out what happened and he gave us an even better deal. Premier cable channels with 3 dvrs, fast internet and phone for $113 a month. We werent sure if we could have Dish on a house rental, and I also would really like to be able to watch the weather when a bad storm is coming. So I'm content with giving comcast a second chance...
