My boyfriend got a job promotion that he has been working his ass off for, except the the job is in Atlanta. We're very serious & would like to eventually end up together. He asked me to move down there with him, but I am a bit unsure. I have lived on the Upper East Side in NYC for my whole life. Never lived anywhere outside of it. I'm currently a student; and working as a part time bartender in NYC making a pretty good amount of money.

For purely legal reasons, I wouldn't make any major lifestyle changes for a boyfriend. Now if the boyfriend were a 'husband', then, yes.

But we are pretty serious; and do have talks of engagement & marriage. It's just at this moment neither is feasible. I want to graduate school first & him get settled in his career more.

It's so much I want to say about this post but I will just leave it alone lol but to answer your question you should not have a problem bartending here. Look at bars in buckhead, midtown, downtown, the highlands, etc.

Buckhead and Midtown will have to most bars. These areas are younger and have a good scene, but Buckhead is more mature. That being said, there are bartending jobs all over the area. Do you know what uni you will be transferring to?

I have no idea what uni I will be transfering to just yet.. I will find something. My main priority right now is to find an area to move into!

As to one of the questions, moving anywhere for the first time is a culture shock. That's a given. I've moved from state to state, country to country.

LOL.. What's really sad is she's being honest. I will say this. I have seen many instances where couples have moved to Atlanta and the man went crazy around so many beautiful women or the woman didn't like the area because there were so many beautiful women.
