Renting a home in Lawrenceville (hasn't completed yet, second choice is Buford.. mentioning that just to cover all bases).

What cable and Internet isp's are available? Comcast? Am I stuck with direct tv? Ugh, hope not. They are horrible, at least in Fla..

Comcast and ATT for internet (possibly tv for ATT as well)

Directv and Dish, if you want tv separately.

Hmm. How is ATT? We don't have that in FL.. We have Verizon FIOS instead (which is amazing).

Would not recommend ATT. IPTV is baically compressed streaming video, and the internet speeds tend to be unreliable.

Charter cable and internet might also be available. I live in (unincorporated) Lawrenceville and have Charter internet and Directv for television.

How is Charter? Fast speeds? Reliable? What kind of service is it, cable or DSL?

It is a cable-based service. It is reliable for me and speeds are much better than DSL with ATT. Sometimes, the modem needs an occational reset every few months or so, but no problems other than that.

I have Comcast for internet and DirectTv for television. If it weren't for my other half, I wouldn't have the television part, however. Both seem adequate enough. Both seem to rob my checkbook just enough.
