the Philippines was ruled by the Spanish via Mexico, so there is a lot of shared influence between both countries from food to people. There were Filipinos that fought for the Mexicans during the Mexican war of independence and if I read right there are 1 million Mexicans that have some Filipino ancestry.

Maybe, but I meant it to be a comparison of USA cities and Asian cities. Not trying to be rude, I'm just saying what I meant.
