If you are a student in college. Let's say ASU or NAU. And you got loan for tuition and get pregnant, and knew that because of your health conditions you will be unable to continue to study while you are pregnant, and growing up a child for a first year. What will happens with the loan and education in this case?

Isn't this putting the Government between the Doctor and the Patient? I guess the Republicans were just kidding about that

Certainly there are some women out there who've had abortions and would speak out about the benefits, the relief of aborting an unwanted child?

I am the male participant in abortion, the procedure completed the first year it was available in my home state, this in the early 70's. The lady and I went on to get married, have children, divorce and move thru multiple relationships for years. Because of the abortion? Not entirely. I cannot measure the impact it had upon us, our marriage, our individual mental being.

An abortion is to relieve us of the physical impact only. Many are not cognizant of the emotional and mental "velvet hammer" swung upon those who chose this option. That child is always present. Birthdays for kids, Christmas, Holidays....something brings that halted life to your mind. But what's worse is the explosive silence. You don't talk about it to each other. You don't surmise what he/she would have been like. You don't speak of regret overwhelming. It just stays in the silent spaces of your relationship, never leaves.

My child would be 35 this year.

My childs mother has processed thru multiple mental "conditions" as it were, depression, bipolar, suicidal. My path was much the same until processing thru recovery allowed me to confront, comfort and let go of this child. In my heart and mind her name is Joy, she is content, not tormented as we were.

As I have witnessed over decades past the effect on other family members of the abortion choice, I know my exwife and I are not exceptional.
And it puzzles me how in these arguments/discussions, those who've actually had abortions are hardly ever heard from. The web offers anonymity, so I doubt it's the fear of disclosure. And certainly embarassment cannot be the single reason behind this silence.

Thanks for listening.
