I have until September 30. I want to leave as soon as my contract expires at school which is in June. I would LOVE to leave before June. I would like to have a job lined up prior to moving. I am trying to establish my teacher placement file at the university I graduated from back in Indiana. I am planning on talking to my landlord as soon as I have a job lined up.

I wouldn't risk it... another 4 to 5 months living anywhere so detrimental to your health is foolish in my opinion...

Remember, your health is your wealth

I would leave. I had to break a lease years ago because I lived far from the city and developed heart problems. They understood, but they said the only way they would do it, is they took my brand new fridge, as when we moved in there was not one. They took that instead of holding us to the lease. Of course we agreed. We needed to get out and be close to medical care.

Default No, you can't break a lease. It's a contract binding on you.

If you think you can't fulfil the contract, you shouldn't have signed it.
