The title sounds bad but I'm trying to make a point.

What I'm asking is here in Bullhead City, so many young girls like age 14 get pregnant. It is a bigger problem here than in Mohave Valley or Laughlin?

I'm fast finding out that Bullhead is real "edgy" tho the cops are trying to keep a lid on it. I'm guessing it's the casino thing in Laughlin that attracts adults who seem out of control and their kids are copying the crazy life.

It seems that Mohave Valley and Fort Mohave are not as crazy or am I wrong?

Agreed . Unfortunately you see a ton at Arizona Mills. The SW in general has a high pregnancy rate. Because the Educational System isn't as strong with funding, kids get lost in the shuffle and get pregnant early.

Kingman had the same problem. I don't blame the schools as much as I blame the parents. The buck stops with the parents.

I'm not sure how many people on the forum live in that specific area. Give it some time, and they will chime in if they are here. If Kingman, which is not that far away, has the same problem, the theory about the casinos may not be a significant factor.

I don't think there's any correlation to the casinos. Mohave Valley, Laughlin, Bullhead, Golden Valley, and to a certain extent Kingman are all within a very small radius of the Casinos. And of course the casinos are in Laughlin, not Bullhead. However, Bullhead does have one of the highest teenage pregnancy rates in the state. I believe the problem is the low socioeconomic strata in these towns. Uneducated people tend to breed uneducated people, and there's a lot of that in Bullhead. People on welfare don't have a lot of money to spend in casinos.

Certainly all of Bullhead is not that like. There are some really nice areas of Bullhead too. I would have no problem living there. But my guess is that the teenage pregnancies, and drug use for that matter, are in the poorer section of town which is pretty big in Bullhead.

Right....babies having babies smh just ruining their lives at a young age. I do blame the parents though to some degree but at the end of the day you can't tell these kids anything. They think they're so grown and are gonna do what they wanna do anyway unfortunately...so be it!

I don't see that many young pregnant girls in Bullhead. Try driving through Santa Ana, CA or the San Fernando Valley if you want to see pregnant girls with two kids in tow.

In Bullhead I think any issues are because there's not much for the kids to do but get into trouble, but really I think the troublemakers are a small percentage. I see a lot of nice kids. And if/when I catch the little rats who keep stealing my solar accent lights there's going to be someone going to jail!

The police are working really hard and I think are making inroads, but it takes the whole community to achieve change. don't be afraid to call the PD if you see kids you think are being mistreated or ignored by family or if you see or suspect crime happening. That's the only way to stop it.
