and that seems to be the only place that I see them.....

it's like, along the backroads in Nevada, there is a weed the grows alongside the pavement, and most of the year it is BRILLIANT orange,,,,,I've been told caused by some sort of fungus from auto exhaust,,,,it only grows CLOSE to the pavement...max maybe 10 feet back.

^^^ dynimagelv, I've seen the datura here in Pahrump growing on the side of the roads AND if the brilliant orange thing you've seen is the same thing I've seen...it's a fungus, but not from exhaust. The one I've seen looks like bright orange spider webs. I've seen that on the roads to Baker, California as well as the roads up to Beatty, NV. I don't have a name for it, but it's gorgeous to see & it only appears at certain times of the year.

I love it but since I ONLY see it in close proximity to the roads, i still think it has something to do with exhaust, but YES it is a fungus.




as we said in the 8th grade....EEK, there's a fungus amungus!!!!!!!
