Ok...we moved here over a year ago from MN, and I got an AZ drivers license, and license plates...now, the lease is up on my car that came from MN and I am going to get another one from the same MN dealer. My title for my car that I have now is a MN title...when I got AZ plates did it give me a title in AZ somehow?? what will the extra cost be for all this? I still have my old MN plates, so do I send those back with the MN car and keep my AZ plates to put on the new car that is coming down?? I know this seems complicated, but I get a MUCH better deal on a vehicle up there than down here.

Let the Dealer you are dealing with worry about it.

for title information I would let the dealer & DMV get it sorted out

I had an out of state loan for a private party purchase here in AZ and it was a little bit more on the complicated side as my small town credit union in NY didn't have all the paperwork & knowledge to communicate easily with the AZ MVD

For you the important thing is registration - you'll keep your AZ plates and they should transfer over to the new vehicle (the dealer should facilitate this)

MN does not require the surrender of their plates (my wife has her old MN plates nailed to the wall in our garage)

You probably won't get a title as you will not own the vehicle - there is a big, confusing process that lienholders have to go through - but that is what they are there to do ..... but don't feel guilty, they'll pass the fees along to you

Above is true. If you own the car and paid for it in Full. You will receive the title in a few weeks. Otherwise in most states If you have a loan you will not get the title until the loan is paid.

If the OP is leasing again, like with the car they have now, they won't get the title, as they don't own the car.
