Are there any grocery stores similar to Wegmans or Harris Teeter or Whole Foods in the Anchorage area?

LOL! Any High end grocery stores in the Anchorage area, along with any Whole food/Natural/Organic grocery stores?

Nephler and Stiff, Wegmans is a grocery store located in NY, NJ, PA, MD and I believe VA. It's one of several grocery stores in my area. They are generally considered a high end store.
Great quality and selection but you pay for it on some items.
Whole Foods is nationwide I believe. They are a high end store which built it's rep on the organic and natural crowd. You will only find Whole Foods in upscale neighborhoods.
Sorry don't know Harris Teeter.

We have some "high-end" grocery stores here. Natural Pantry and New Sagaya sell things similar to that found in Whole Foods but they are smaller and locally owned.
(Un)fortunately Alaska does not have a big enough market for those large franchises. We have to make do with the smaller mom and pop's.

Also the Fred Meyer's and Safeway/Carrs have a nice selection of Natural/Healthy foods same as that sold in those fancy stores.

I am from Rochester,NY where Wegman's originated.... they probably will never build that far out west.... They would have to build several other distribution centers as their stores are only in NY,PA,MD,NJ & VA right now...
