oh, I don't think it has boiled down to what he drinks has to do with his being a real man, I just think there are certain drinks you are more inclined to see men drink and those that you expect a woman to order. I don't know a lot of women who drink scotch. I know some, but it isn't their first choice. I don't know a lot of men that would walk up to the bar and order a run punch or a whisky sour. Even when it comes to wines, I think you associate red wines with men and white wines with women more. No, I don't think most women drink white and visa versa, but I think more drink one over the other. My husband drinks red almost solely but will have a glass of white on rare occasions. I drink both, but more white as the weather warms up. The exception in our family: our son in law (one of them) drinks almost only white and his wife, our daughter drinks white, but does enjoy red as well.

My BF's mom is a freaking Scotch expert. She's actually the one who got me into Scotch.

I hate sweet drinks, though, and generally prefer red wine to white. I guess I'm a manly female drinker.

I served watermelon margaritas at a house party several weeks ago ... they were pretty pink with all the fresh watermelon, but everyone loved 'em, even the men. Go figure.
This. Who cares? At worst it would be a conversation starter.

Brown or clear. No other colors allowed. No umbrellas, fruits, nuts, or anything else in the glass but ice, booze, and mix. Olives are ok but only in a martini.

Any guy worried a DRINK can make him look feminine is already behind on the manliness scale.

Better just drink Quaker State and straight kerosene to catch up!!!!

I can think of 7 women I know right off the top of my head who love scotch.

Only 2 are gay.

Scotch can be smokey...some of the best arr floral.
Hardly "manly."

You want something that tastes like alcohol. To me, “girl drinks” are designed to be so sweet that you don’t actually taste the booze. These drinks are also dangerous because it’s harder to know your limit if you can’t taste the alcohol.

A "real man" or "manly man" drinks and eats whatever he likes without fear; he's secure in his manliness. So the next time you see a man drink a pink lady before, then have white wine with his quiche; don't dismiss him. Manliness is inside.

So I guess he can also wear a dress and heels?
