Good story. Must be nice having family in the industry, even if they are distrustful of distant relatives. You must of got into the good stuff because I doubt you were sucking down Old Crow as a kid.

Good story! My two year old picked up a beer I had just opened when the phone rang. I turned around to see him finishing it off with a big burp. He slept like a log that night, and today at 21 is quite the brew-snob!

Ever try Bookers? In a cool box. About 60.00 per 750ml.

For those with DirectTV, search for a new documentary called "Bourbontucky"

Good 90 minute film about our beloved bourbon.

I must say the best bourbon I have tried is now 1792. I have previously tried ancient age, early times, jim beam, evan williams, Ky Gentleman and a couple others i cant recall. But 1792 is Damn Good Bourbon.

My friend bought me Bulleit 10 year recently. Very nice. I've also been enjoying Knob Creek, Eagle Rare, Makers Mark, and Woodford Reserve lately.

Makers Mark has alway been a favorite of mine...
I have really liked Jim Beam's Devils Cut

I've never found it...but can someone tell me if Pappy Van Winkle truly that much better than some of the other well known ones? I'd love to try it but don't know where to get it here in Columbus, OH.

I haven't had Pappy but I've had some other Van Winkles. They're good but I wouldn't pay so much or go on a wild goose chase to find it.

I've only had the 12 year and I thought it was great. But I also think Blanton's is great as well and that is about $10 less a bottle and easy to get.
