How is the job market in Albuqueque for basic jobs? Something from like $9-15 an hour. I'm just curious because I'll want to catch on with a basic job when I first get there so I can settle in until I get a better job. Thanks.
call centers are great for that...since they provide the training and medical, dental and 401k...all the ones i have seen start off at 12 and go up from there...
best of luck!!
Speaking of call centers, does anyone know if another business has moved into the bldg that MCI used as a call center, near the Cherry Hills Library, on San Antonio? That call center moved to the West Side, and the building had been sitting vacant for awhile.
ahh zoidberg! not all call centers are like that!!...haha...it's great when your going to school =) but for the long haul then ya...no thx...better then doing relay tho for sure

Reason: spell check.
I guess it all depends on the job, if you got experience then you will probably get in or if you have a friend/relative working somewhere they can get you on with those type of jobs, Ive been trying to find a basic job like that for a while now and no luck, the thing is I have no experience and no one will give you the chance to learn.

Try the Temp Agencies as that's how i learned my skills and got my foot thru the door back in 1995.....

Tim, I looked it over on a drive-by yesterday and there wasn't a sign or notice anywhere. Completely blank. Supposedly commercial leasing space is at an all time low, but it seem like the ones that are available are highly visible. The Phillips Semiconductor lab right off I-25, That MCI call center on the NE side, all those Eckerd's Drugs locations that never came to be (I think almost all of them have since leased.). One of those locations is an Ace Hardware (Menaul and Eubank), which I consider an improvement since there's already a monster Walgreen's across the road. Another is some kind of 'World Cargo' thing that looks like a store full of miscellaneous cheap imports.
