It did this last night, still battling with jet lag we checked the KP around 10pm and it was way down so we headed off to bed. Around 1am it started jumping by 3am it was up to 7.
Not sure what to do tonight still having staying awake problems due to the lag but I so want to see the aurora so maybe a nap then take a look later on.

It changed again, Moose. Now the forecast is for mostly clear tonight. An hour ago I saw a cloud cover moving in, but now it's clear again:

Clear here but no lights yet. For some reason I can't open the aurora page. Too many people looking at it maybe.

Yes, while it's clear, I don't see any Auroras displays. The UAF website has had too many hits. The last search I did show over 464,000 searches for the Auroras forecast.
