That's a really nice picture. Somehow very calming.

^ It is very calming! That was my subconscious reaction when I looked at the picture, but I didn't really think of that until you said it. To me, snow is the most calming thing in the world. It's really beautiful to watch it snow; you could be in the middle of a serious snowstorm, and it's completely silent. I never realized how great winter is until my family moved to Massachusetts when I was 15. Fields and fields of white snow, sitting by the fire with the snow coming down, it's just the best season of the year, hands down!

Drove downriver to Napakiak today on the ice road. Very foggy day!

Frosty trees on the riverbank.

Oh, I know what you mean. This is the first time that I've lived anywhere that it snows more than an inch or two in a year. My favorite time is when it's snowing at night and I can't hear the traffic from the Glenn. It's so quiet and peaceful.

Warpt, I love it when the trees are icy. One of my favorite things to take pictures of. Here's a couple I took this past Wednesday in Eagle River.

And here's one from yesterday somewhere in Chugiak (I got lost).
