Scroll your side bar and drop the picture down so the pavement is just trimmed off at the bottom of your screen. Leave a touch of grass showing along the bottom. You see what I see? One nice picture. Those are cedar trees aren't they? Man in the spring in Wrangell, we'd cut off a branch and stick in our hard hat, just for the aroma. It was like perfume. I can smell it just looking at those trees.

Ya I see it, most of that pick is pavement. I wanted a little pavement but not the whole bottom half... good advice thank you.

Ya there are some cedars on both side of the deer. I bet it's nice to have some fresh cedar near your nose when you are sweating like a logger. Have you ever heard that smell has the strongest ties to memory of all our sences? I believe it.

Good to see they finally got it over there

Random fact: The APU(Auxillary Power Unit) from that aircraft is still being used in Alaska aircraft.

Yours truly taking a break and cooling off the machine.

Taking 5 in the sun

Another shot of Cooper Lake from a lower elvation and nicer conditions

In the third picture, why is the guy in the background humping his seat?

Beautiful images, Rance...and I love the work, Xa'at.
I managed very few shots whilst there...whenever the husband stopped long enough for me to grab the camera.
These are in the Palmer area:
