Picture posting question.

The best way to show a city is by pictures, but most of us don't always have our very own pictures unless we find a picture on the internet taken by someone else.

The question is; can I post a picture followed by the link it came from right under the picture showing that i'm a disclaimer?
Or am I only aloud to post a link with no posting of the picture itself at all?

Assume that the picture you find on the internet by someone else is copyrighted, whether it says so or not.
So, generally, no, you cannot post someone else's photo without permission.

A link may be OK.

A link to the original source is ok. Posting copyrighted pictures without the permission of the author is not.
