I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask. or not. I fully admit that in the past I have broken the rules without fully understanding them, but now I know. Or I think I do. I just have one question.

There is a Realtor who always puts his full name and company name at the end of every post he makes. Is that allowed? If it is, I would like to do it, but I don't want to go ahead without asking. I think that stating your company name is considered advertising, but I don't think he's gotten in trouble. And again, I admit I had made that mistake in the past as well.

Thanks for the clarification!

Yes, MikiJayne, you understood it correctly. It is against the T.O.S. to not only insert a manual signature to your posts but to advertise your profession in any way inside your post.

Pertaining to the member you do see posting in this manner, please use the "Report Post" feature to bring it to a moderator's attention. Thanks.

edit: ooops, yes, listen to da jammer, he's a very wise person!

If you have a concern that a post is not within TOS you should click on the report button on the post (the red and white exclamation point in the triangle) and/or you can also DM the Moderator in charge of that forum. To find out the Moderator(s) for a particular forum go to About The Forum, FAQ's, Moderators List or click here:

You are correct, signatures are not within TOS.

But it is okay to say your profession in a thread dedicated to asking what our professions are? Right?
