that works also.
I use an image host because I have an online store and need to save photos of the stusff I sell. I have over 1000 albums on photobucket some for commercial and some for my personal use. I keep most of them private and only have a few open for public viewing.
Most of the image hosts are quite secure and no less dangerous than having them on your computer and being online. the major names I know are

Ranchoweb
Imageshack
Flickr
I have used all 4 and had no problems. Flickr seems to be a little more secure that the other three and do block any attempts at hot linking. However, I allow hotlinking to my public files so that is not a concern for me.
