Manager is knowledgeable, responsive, and personable. Facilities currently accommodating 20-30 children ages 6wks- school age. Reviewed at inspection were kitchen/food handling, classrooms, entryway, halls, lighting, facility sanitation, water supply, and sewage disposal. Routine sanitizing of hand-contact surfaces is done throughout the day, including door knobs, tables, and toys.
Minor issues noted and corrected at inspection were:
*small amount of background soil on handsink faucet in kitchen.
*drain towels in use for stacking air-drying dishes need to be changed. A proper dish drainer is needed to keep drying dishes off of a wet towel. Change towel DAILY.
*dish cleaning sponges are present in the kitchen.
*small amount of soil in one of the children's bathrooms (wall and toilet seat).
All items were corrected at inspection.

    Observation: The ready-to-eat (RTE) commercially processed liquid eggs in the refrigeration unit was not properly dated for disposition after opening.
    Correction: Mark a "consume by" date on commercially processed RTE foods at the time the original container is opened. If the food is held at 41°F or below the food shall be served or sold within 7 calendar days. Some harmful bacteria continue to grow even at refrigeration temperatures so limiting the amount of time in storage limits the amount of growth allowed for these bacteria.

    Observation: The ready-to-eat (RTE) commercially processed deli ham in the refrigeration unit was not properly dated for disposition after opening. PIC stated that ham was opened on Wednesday of last week.
    Correction: Mark a "consume by" date on commercially processed RTE foods at the time the original container is opened.     Observation: The handwash 2 compartment sink is being used as a dump station on both sides.
    Correction: The handwash facility identified above is to be used for washing hands only in one compartment.

*Gave owner a copy of an approved employee health agreement to implement and have staff sign.
*Suggested keeping temperature logs on refrigerator and freezers. EHS will email owner sample temperature logs.
*Explained to cook how to check calibration on thermometers using ice point method.
*Some deep cleaning & organization (in drawers, cabinets, corners, etc) is needed. Do not store anything on the floor. Everything in the kitchen should be stored 6 inches off the floor.
