The purpose of this visit was to conduct a routine inspection. The operator had informed the Health Department on April 21, 2015 that the facility was not cooking any raw animal products, but observed the raw animal products in freezer during inspection. Per discussion, the facility cooks from raw animal products.
  • Critical: Food Protection from Contamination / Separate Raw from RTE (corrected on site)
    Observation: The raw animal food on display is stored in a manner that may cause cross contamination of ready-to-eat food as follows: Raw hamburger patty stored above read-to-eat vegetables in the walk-in freezer.
    Correction: Raw foods like poultry, beef, pork, seafood, and eggs shall be displayed to prevent cross contamination. Display all raw foods together and all cooked foods or ready-to-eat foods together. Maintain separation. DISCUSSED WITH THE PIC.

The purpose of this visit was to conduct a routine inspection. No food service related activities in progress at the time of inspection. Discussed public health significance of insuring cold held foods are received at 41 degrees F or below and hot held foods are received at 135 degrees F or above. Dishmachine turned thermolabel black.

The purpose of this inspection was to conduct a routine risk evaluation. No food preparation or other food service related activities were in progress at the time of this inspection. Dishmachine turned thermolabel black.
The food service establishment is not in compliance with having an Employee Health Policy. The Person-In-Charge is to provide training on the Employee Health Policy within 14 calendar days. Documentation (meeting attendance sheet/signed agreement form) is to be submitted to the Health Department within 14 days by fax or email that training has been completed. NOTE: PLEASE REMEMBER TO SUBMIT SIGNED EMPLOYEE REPORTING AGREEMENTS TO HEALTH DEPARTMENT WITHIN 14 DAYS AS REQUIRED ABOVE.
  • Critical: Responsibility of PIC to Require Food Employees to Report GI Symptoms or Cuts, Disease, Medical Condition or Exposure to PIC
    Observation: Upon discussion with the person-in-charge, one or more of the elements of an effective employee health policy is either missing or incomplete. A complete employee health policy is required to be in place at the food establishment. At the time of this inspection, the Health Department provided and reviewed handouts and resource information in a red folder labeled "Employee Health Policy.
    Correction: A complete employee health policy must have the following elements:
    1) Employee training on foodborne illness, particularly symptoms of illness and prevention of the Big Five illnesses (see "What is Foodborne Illness" handout)
