    Correction: Provide suitable utensils such as deli tissue, spatulas, tongs, single-use gloves, or dispensing equipment to handle RTE food to prevent contamination from hands.

Overall the kitchen was very well maintained. Ensure all equipment keeps functioning at proper temperature and the dishwasher is dispensing sanitizer at the appropriate concentration.

    Observation: The prepared ready-to-eat (RTE) pasta salad and cole slaw in the refrigeration unit is not labeled with a ""consume by"" date.
    Correction: Ensure all prepared RTE food is mark with the name and ""consume by"" date on the container at the time of preparation if the food is to be held for more than 24 hours. If the food is held at 41°F or below the food shall be served, sold or discarded within 7 calendar days. Some harmful bacteria continue to grow even at refrigeration temperatures so limiting the amount of time in storage limits the amount of growth allowed for these bacteria.
  • Handwashing Cleanser - Availability (corrected on site)
    Observation: Soap was not provided at the hand washing lavatory in the kitchen
    Correction: Hand soap must be provided at all hand washing lavatories to encourage proper hand washing. Hand cleanser must always be present to aid in reducing microorganisms and particulate matter found on hands.
  • Hand Drying Provision (corrected on site)
    Observation: No disposable towels were provided at the hand washing lavatory in the kitchen
    Correction: Hand drying devices such as individual disposable paper towels, a continuous towel system that supplies the user with a clean towel or heated air hand drying device must be provided at all hand washing lavatories to encourage proper hand washing and avoid employees to drying their hands on their clothing or other unclean materials

Rat Turd Alert! Was our favorite seafood place in town but today at lunch I discovered a large rat turd in my baked potato. I told the server and showed it to her she brought me another baked potato. Gross, I told the check out person. No one seemed to care. I call the manager. She was not so nice and insisted I didn't know what I was looking at it was just a bad place on the potato. I told her I have been in food service my family owned restaurants over 50 years and I farm, on top of that we raised rodents for large snakes and lizards I KNOW what a rat turd looks like. I KNOW what a bad place on a potato looks like and this was not on the potato it was in the potato. It was a rat turd no mistake. I wish I had taken a photo. The manager was not nice and very argumentive. Never going back. I wish I had not been nice. I should have pitched a fit. YUCK!
