* Facility is open 5 days a week from April thru November and is only serving frozen to cooked hamburgers, hot dogs, canned chili, and precooked frozen breakfast sandwiches.
* Well maintained, cleaned, and organized. PIC is knowledgeable about food safety.
  • Outer Openings - Protected
    Observation: Outer opening of the food establishment is not protected against entry of insects and rodents. Mesh screen door to kitchen has multiple holes in it and needs to be replaced or repaired.
    Correction: Protect the food establishment against the entry of insects and rodents by 1. Filling or closing holes and other gaps along floors, walls, and ceilings, 2. Closed, tight fitting windows, and 3. Solid, self-closing, tight-fitting doors. Insects and rodents are vectors of disease-causing microorganisms which may be transmitted to humans by contamination of food and food-contact surfaces.

Compact, neatly organized concession facility with picnic shelter eating area. Facility is on National Forest, operating 7 days a week, and serving breakfast and lunch primarily to fishermen who are trout fishing in nearby Crooked Creek. Parking and restrooms double as facilities for those accessing National Forest. Operator is knowledgeable and responsive.

    Observation: There is no properly working test kit provided in the facility for monitoring the concentration of the chemical sanitizing solutions.
    Correction: Obtain a chlorine test kit so that employees can accurately monitor the concentration of the sanitizing solutions and maintain them at a safe and effective level.
