Health Care - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Health Care

Because of the medical technology and research centers affiliated with Philadelphia’s major universities, this city is fortunate to have more than its share of mega-hospital systems, large and small independent hospitals, and a wealth of walk-in and alternative-care facilities.

From state-of-the-art neonatal care to expert diagnostics, Philly has health care covered. With 20 hospital systems—and multiple hospitals within each system—it would be impossible in this guide to provide detailed information on each center in Greater Philadelphia. However, we have given contact information for walk-in centers and hospital systems, with notes on their locations, hospitals, and, in some cases, special details about the care offered.
