96L in the Eastern Atlantic became TD14 earlier on Thursday 7Sept, now TS Margot. As of 5pEDT/AST winds 40mph(65km/h), moving WNW 17mph(28km/h), pressure 1004mb. Center about 290miles(465km) WNW of Cabo Verde Islands.
Looks to continue WNW movement and slowly turn towards North by start of next week.
Models are split as we start next week on where heads next, some send more West, others further North, others Northeast. But most eventually turn it back East.
Sat 5aEDT/AST winds 45mph(75km/h), moving WNW 13mph(20km/h), pressure 1004mb. A blob with high wind shear affecting , but if can make it a couple more days will find a pocket free to develop in about midway between Bermuda and The Azores. Models still all over the place on which way it heads thereafter.
Sat 11pEDT/AST winds 50mph(85km/h), moving NW 9mph(15km/h), pressure 1000mb. Not the best on satellite, it's still trying but wind shear says no for now.
Sun 10Sept 11aEDT/AST satellite estimated winds 50mph(85km/h), moving NNW 9mph(15km/h), pressure 1000mb. Still sheared. Better chances ahead though in the week.
Mon 11Sept 5pEDT/AST satellite estimated winds 75mph(120km/h), moving N 12mph(19km/h), pressure 988mb. Cat1. Looks better, but wind shear still affecting, some mid-level dry air is also moving in between band from South and up the East side.
Moving North, coming up the West side of a High pressure (flow spins clockwise). Then by weeks end it may end up in region of no steering flow or meanders. Kinda depends on what steering factors for Lee does and some other nearby weather.
Wed 13Sept 5aEDT/AST satellite estimated winds 85mph(140km/h), moving N 12mph(19km/h), pressure 975mb. NHC has revised cone map from drifting generally NNW to performing a loop now. But still out at sea West of The Azores. Eventual steering flow remains in question.
