I think there was a scene in Free Willy shot in the San Juan islands.

Great thread, by the way.

Default More movies shot in Seattle

A couple that I don't think were mentioned are "Cinderella Liberty" (1973) with James Caan and Marsha Mason, and "McQ" (1974)with John Wayne. Oh, and I almost forgot "It Happened at the World's Fair" with Elvis back in 1963. Oldies but goodies, all.
Cinderella depicts a sailor on leave at a seedy first avenue that doesn't exist anymore with the peep shows and adult magazine/movie stores mostly all gone now. McQ has John Wayne in a car chase after a bad guy on the most ridiculous route imaginable (if you're a native), and Fair has Elvis singing and walking through the Seattle Center's Pacific Science Center.

Keep in mind that in the last decade or two many films set in Seattle are actually filmed in Vancouver Canada (any Lion's Gate film has a Vancouver connection). Some of the movies shot in Vancouver include the X-Men films (notice that the Professor X's school looks the same as Lex Luthors's house (on Smallville)?), I Robot, Butterfly Effect, etc, etc etc.

In addition, there are tons of TV shows that are/were shot up there - including:

Bionic Woman
Pushing Daisies
Battlestar Gallactica
Smallville
House
X-files
Dark Angel
Stargate SG1
Deal Like Me
4400
The Dead Zone
Highlander
Airwolf

The list goes on and on. It seems like nearly every show in the ScFi channel (for example) was filmed in Vancouver, Canada. The film industry in Vancouver dwarfs that of Seattle - and as I said, many movies/show set in Seattle are actually film primarily in Vancouver (with just a few actual Seattle shots showing famous landmarks such as the Space Needle, Pike Place Market etc).

Default And don't forget Sleepless In Seattle

With Tom Hanks & Meg Ryan! Am sure someone has already posted this one, topic reminded me of the filming they did at Boeing for this movie - in the mock up building, I think on a 767 mock up or was it 777 or 757? I don't remember now it was so long ago.
My 2 cents worth.
