The proclamation requires all state employees and most health and long-term care providers to be fully vaccinated with a recommended COVID-19 vaccine by October 18, 2021 as a condition of employment. Employers will need to verify vaccination status of all employees.

Who does the Proclamation apply to?
All Cabinet Agency worksites and employees and Health Care employees in private sector health care and in long term care settings including but not limited to nursing homes, adult family homes, assisted living, enhanced services facilities, RTFs, and other treatment facilities. This includes most contractors, volunteers and other positions that have any onsite presence in a workplace setting. The proclamation does not cover separately elected officials, boards and commissions or K-12 and higher education institutions, but those organizations are encouraged to adopt a similar approach.

Vaccinations are the only way out of this. The science is there.
We should already be out of this - we are 18 months into the pandemic and the vaccine has been offered to every adult in the US which might not even be enough at this point. Also, covid cannot be eradicated ever and lockdowns in most countries don't work.

Are you Inslee/Brown’s official Internet poster troll?

Your statement is 100% false.

Unless you only speak political science.

Nah, like zerp said, that is a false statement.

For no pandemic in history has vaccination ever been "the way out of this..."

Since the OP the Governor has added all educational workers, teachers, but also office staff and even volunteer parents, janitors, and preschool workers. That's public and private.

Already school districts (at least here) are desperate for more bus drivers, and now they will be required to be vaccinated, probably reducing the applicant pool even more. If I had a kid riding the bus, though, I'd be glad to know that the driver had been vaccinated.

Good. If you are a health care worker and anti-vax you shouldn't be working in health care. Period.

That would be a great step towards getting the virus under control. Unless you have a medical excuse (a valid one) then get the shots.
