New normal? This is only temporary until it's no longer a pandemic. There is nothing normal about this kind of "life".

New normal is not defined by any time period. BTW, most experts predict caution measures will be in place in some form until 2023. Here is one expert who predicted our current pandemic years ago.

Since when did this thread become not about Gonzaga?

I brought up covid in relation to the tournament. The rest is on those who chose it to go off the rails. Choose the correct thread if you want to argue about covid please.

Zags play tomorrow morning pacific time against a tougher opponent, Oklahoma. Go Bulldogs!

Little old Oral Roberts took them behind the wood shed and spanked them good.
My hats off to the folks who have Oral Roberts in the Sweet 16 on their bracket (all 4 of them).

Loyola I'm not nearly as surprised about. Except for a couple hiccups they've been a solid contender all season. I didn't necessarily expect them to be in the Sweet 16 because they had to go through U of I to get there, but I'm not shocked they pulled it off. I'm only shocked by how decisive their win was, I thought it would be a squeaker either way.

On a neutral court, I'd bet a full-house crowd leans to the favorite, or better-known team. No such advantage this Dance.
There's no explaining the PAC12's amazing performance so far. Impressed with Gonzaga.

Congrats to the Zags on handling my Sooners. Gonzaga got a pretty good effort out of our team and handled it pretty well.

Timme was easily the best center we played this year and we saw some pretty good ones in the Big XII. After a really good first round the Big XII is getting exposed in the second round. If Baylor and Gonzaga get together it should be a really good matchup as expected. I think Baylor matches up pretty well at four spots. Would be really interested in seeing if Vital (Baylor center) can defend Timme. Vital is really good on defense.

Hope it happens.

It's hard to root against the Zags being a small catholic school in an isolated part of the world (as far as recruits are concerned) but two decades of playing at an elite play from them is pretty amazing. They have certainly got a seat at the Big Boy table these days.

Well the Big 10 sure didn't represent itself too well this year. Of the 8 teams to start, only 1 made it to Sweet 16. 4 of the other 7 got knocked out by significantly lower seeds.
