There will be quite a few BIG10 teams in the Dance. That'll work against Mich, as I don't think they'll beat every one of them they would face, due to familiarity.
I'm leaning toward Baylor, but Yes, a higher payoff would be better.

I find it fascinating that anyone would compare a college performances from one season to another and use that to predict games in the following years.
By this I mean if that were true only the SEC and ACC would play each other every year for the National championship.

I see your fascination, and agree somewhat, but the common factor is coaching. That's why I look for the teams that have a lot of upperclassmen, and a coach who has been there before...and a strong SOS.
I remember when the PAC12 had no tourney. That's why their teams came into the Dance so often, unprepared, and bowed out early so often.

One of the top guards in the college rank at Gonzaga is a freshman Suggs and Mark Few is among the top all time coach in winning percentage. Gonzaga has been in something like 19 straight NCAA tournaments and was in the final in 2017 and Few is among the top all time coach in winning percentage.

Oh and by the way UCLA basketball holds the most NCAA titles and did that without a conference tournament.

All true, except again, SOS seems to be what sinks the Zags too often.

As for the UCLAns, Yes. But you have to agree it was a far different, and smaller, Dance back then. I don't think winners had to win 6 straight. And pretty sure only conference champs got Invites back then.
Too lazy too Google it all.

First step done tonight. A win in the WC tourney sets them up. Should be interesting to see if they can pull it off this year!

Keeping this thread alive, because, you know, there's a Dance coming.
So Congrats to my parent's Beavers('43 and '48)!! One less chance a blue-blood gets in.

As expected, the Bulldogs get a #1 seed. Also, congrats to Eastern Washington University for making the big dance this year!

I have the feeling Eastern Washington will be the first one out and Gonzaga will be the last one standing.
