I would take the cold very cold sunny days vs gray gray gray for weeks. I messed with my mind so I hate the PNW with a passion.

I prefer the sunny cold weather as well. With snow on the ground it ends up being much brighter as well.

I love snowy winters, but the blinding light of a New England winter day was too much for me.

Fluffy, you should keep this thread updated to let others who are thinking of moving how you handle our doom and gloom. Though, fair warning, a lot of people can handle the first couple of winters, but when the honeymoon period is over they find the winters too much.

The good thing is it looks like you are keeping yourself busy and going outside, your pictures are great!

Yep, same here.
I can add extra layers to stay warm and still go outside.
The damp cold goes right through you, so I usually stay inside those days.

40 and light rain is still t-shirt weather.

-20 with an additional wind chill is what goes right through you. Or as my wife put it, "why do we live somewhere where the air hurts your face?"
