This is from the article:

"Tennessee was also given low marks since there are no statewide protections for sexual orientation, gender identity, and antidiscrimination."

This is mostly true, unfortunately, and I think the article throws overall shade to everything in the state, due to this.

Tennessee is a beautiful state with a good economy, stunning geography, low cost of living and tons of things to do.

The "4th worst place to live" is not accurate, taking everything into consideration.

Me, having lived in 8 different states and travelled to almost every state, I'd put Tennessee in the top 20 best states, overall. There are many, many worse states to live in.

And just when I was starting to like Fox17 at Five AM, lollol.

Conversely, that false statement works for me —- keeps people away

I live remote enough (where nothing is for sale that there have been people afraid to drive up my road, to the top of the hill, lollol

Yes I love my animals way more than people. If we ever hit the more-money-than-brains-lottery, we are buying up several hundred acres and plopping a small home, horse barn, and workshop right in the middle of it.

Honestly, I never really liked living in Tennessee myself, but I don’t think it’s the fourth worst State to live in. East TN is absolutely beautiful and most Tennesseans are friendly. Things I did not like were poor infrastructure, especially around Nashville.

Arkansas I can confirm has got to be the worst State. I did a lot of business in Little Rock and Arkansas is an ugly State with little reason to live there unless you had Family or grew up there.

Never believe folks who do videos, they can be bias but this one guy really hates TN and these towns and says they are the worst.

We are considering E Tennessee just hope we find the right area. Where we live now it's gang filled, high crime, taxes and over populated and no land. Everything is built on.

When we retired, we had the choice of living anywhere in the US and wound up coming to Tennessee. I guess we are not very bright for choosing such an unpleasant place to live out our days. And we must be even more dim-witted for actually liking it here.

Yes, The drive on I-40 from Memphis to Little Rock is mind numbing! Little Rock itself is just sort of crime ridden and dumpy but I will admit I have heard great things about NW Arkansas and the Ozarks, I hear, are beautiful.

If I had to live in Tennessee again I would strongly consider Chattanooga. That city has really re-invented itself and is so pretty. It also seemed very laid back in my visits.
