This is a spin off from SmokyMountainGal's thread "The Knoxville Area Chat Thread". (I hate to go back to the original thread where this question is relevant.)

GrizzlyBear, how is your mom doing? We haven't heard for a couple of days now. I sure hope her spirits are as high as her martinis!

Gem - You truly are one.

No martinis just yet. Not such a good day yesterday, followed by a better day today. She's holding her head up better and my sister took her for a wild wheel chair ride. Her spirits seem to be better today.

Thanks for asking.

Really nice to hear, Grizzly. Each day will probably get better and better.

Give Mom my best.

Yes, it was a beautiful day! Too bad we have to go through so many terrible days to get to this. Truly sad.

It's winter. The cold is expected. What I love about Tennessee is the little respites from winter that are so lovely. It made it to 63 today.

I agree. I was just remarking to a friend the other day about how fortunate we are to have sunny days in the winter to give us a much needed break. So many areas of the country have to deal with one gloomy day ater another during the long winter months.

It was sunny here in Kingsport. I don't know what the high temp. was but probably the high 50's to 60. Lots of people out in our neighborhood park. Teens playing basketball, younger children on the swings & slides and adults out on the walking path. Lots of people on the Greenbelt too. Me, I got a much needed deluxe car wash.

Sorry to intrude, but I just want to say those are beautiful pictures!!!! I could print one and hang it on my window to hide the 2 feet (and it seems forever rising) snow currently outside on my lawn!

You are not intruding! Yes you can print one if you like. And sorry to hear that you have so much snow. You may want to look at the Tri city thread (Kingston, Johnson City & Bristol) and look for the "Misc NE Tennessee pictures" thread. There are so many more beautiful pictures, many to chose from. But thank you for the compliment. Where are you now?
Try to have a great day.
