It's almost a stretch to say Francis Marion is in Florence, especially for people who live in west Florence.
Really the only reason most Florence residents had to be out in the airport area was the high school football games and fair. The schools have their own football stadiums now.
I was on the interstate between LA and San Fran last year. It's all farmland through that stretch, there are no cities the size of Florence despite California being the largest population state. I learned from driving across the fruited plain Florence is a more happening place than most places in this country.
