I'll never understand how haters like you cheered for other countries because the US team is supposedly too woke.
First of all you need to differentiate team from a few individuals. Second, as we discussed earlier, you cheered for communist Vietnam in the first game because the US team was too liberal in your eyes, lol. That's like cheering for N. Korea because you hate dictatorships. Then it was Sweden of all teams who you were happy for beating the US. Sweden, a “socialist” country with a welfare system that's almost without limits.
How about I’m not rooting for any of these countries? My allegiance lays with the flag and Donald J. Trump, neither of whom those ungrateful losers support. I’m ashamed that they represented my country.

I've been annoyed by the USWNT since they created a divisive argument built on a lot of half truths to sue over pay and dredging up the false pay gap stuff as well, not a good look at all. (but hey, it somewhat worked because most people don't have education relating to analysis and think math is a four letter word)
I used to be more interested in them but they just seemed so negative at every turn in recent years.
So, just like I gave up on MLB 20+ years ago...I quit caring about womens soccer. I don't root against them, I just became "meh" towards one of the many sporting and entertainment options out there.

So you align yourself with piece of fabric and a rapist. Good for you. That makes a lot of sense. I instead love this county and its people. I love our men's and women's national soccer teams, including the youth teams. I love this beautiful game and the gifted women playing in this tournament for the US and all nations. America is a great country because someone like you, who makes no sense and has no basis in reality, can still speak your mind on things you sadly know nothing about. Amazing place our country. Love our USWNT and know their future is bright. Can't wait for the Olympics.

Well, none of that is true, but it doesn't matter since they got the equal pay deal in the end. This year, it hurt them as they did not win, but its equal. Which is how I prefer it. But no lies, no half truths, no false pay gaps, and more important than the money, no disparate treatment in the non-money side of things.
the reason it worked is because the people making decisions for the USWNT, the USMNT, and US Soccer, all have the education on analysis and understand that math is not a four letter word, but discrimination is.
Sad I will not be seeing the USWNT, but excited I will see Spain play the Dutch and then Japan play Sweden. Plus I will get my geek on for the Lord of the Rings tourism I will be doing. I've never been to NZ. Its going to be awesome. Hoping I can score tickets to the semi and final in Australia as I will be over there in time for the other side of the bracket's semi, and the final. Plus more down under tourism.
Sad to see the USWNT lose, but as I was saying since long before the tournament, I did not expect them to win. I hoped they would get to the round of 8, but I figured Spain awaited there and there was no way this team was going to beat Spain. Too many injuries changed the way this team plays. I would have loved to have seen this team play with Macario and Lavelle as attacking mids and Horan as defending mid. Becky and Girma being the wall that they are allowing Dunn to attack as she likes. Ertz coming off the bench to receive Horan and Sam Mewis coming in to relieve Lavelle. And Mal Puck Swanson leading the attack with Smith coming in as a reserve. But it just was not meant to be. the team used to be so deep, but now its subs are such a drop off from the starters, that it showed.
In the end, poor attacking choices let them wind up in penalties, where it truly is anyone's game. The US made one more mistake, and that was the game. Kudos to the defense for rocking all 4 games. Best defense in the world even without their best defender.
I hope everyone else enjoys the rest of this tourney. Australia advanced. England advanced barely. Still hoping for an England Spain finale, but there are so many great team and great soccer left to watch. Jamaica is for real. Everyone enjoy! I'll check in soon. Likely on the plane rides as they are insanely long flights. I bought the internet package for both legs.

England through after a very tough game against Nigeria, England were the second best team for large stretches but win on PKs after playing with 10 for a large period. Not a great advert for the game to be honest.

They do not really care, just trying to stir the pot. I love this type of thing, so I make them think they are bothering people, but in fact they give me hours of entertainment. None of them have the brainpan to rationalize behavior, its just about laying in the street in front of the truck.
