I don't know a soul in Sacramento and I have grown up in Iowa my whole life, most of my friends are friends from High School, so I am pretty nervous about getting out there and making new friends. But I would very much love to do so. Does anybody have any good suggestions or good places to go or things to do where I could meet some new friends??? I'm 23 years old. :coo l::c ool:

Dive bars? Lol. Depends on the type of people you wanna meet. It's really all about being social and being able to break the ice in a not-so-awkward fashion. I meet people at lounges, dive bars, clubs, parks. Etc. You'll be fine. Tons of people here are friendly. Of course, you run into the occasional jerk-face, but those are everywhere.

You'll do just fine. Be a joiner...join clubs, groups, etc that do things that you like to do. What do you like to do? What type of work, or are you a student?

I love writing and art. I also love to go out and dance. I'm in the healthcare field, could be working at a nursing home or in a home health environment. And yes I am also a student-- planning on going to SCC.

My daughter is 23 and she makes friends at work and at school, so it should be easy for you if you are outgoing at all. Also, there are people who get together with common interests through Meetup.com (its often pet related; but I'm sure there are many other subjects). Also, look up places to frequent on Yelp.com like coffee houses, etc.
